About OCPOA
The Ohio Chief Probation Officers Association (OCPOA) is a nonprofit, professional organization committed to advancing the field of probation across the state of Ohio. Our members represent a diverse range of agencies, including adult, juvenile, and municipal courts, as well as community control agencies operated by or in partnership with Ohio’s courts and justice system.
Founded to support the leadership and development of probation services statewide, OCPOA focuses on three core areas: education and training, legislative advocacy, and professional networking.
Through quarterly trainings, our annual Line Officers Training Institute, and events, OCPOA provides members with access to timely information, innovative practices, and a statewide network of experienced professionals. Our Training and Education Committee works year-round to ensure the curriculum reflects the most relevant issues and needs in the field.
OCPOA is also a strong legislative voice, advocating for effective policies that support community safety and offender rehabilitation.
Membership is open to Chief Probation Officers and Community Control Administrators throughout Ohio, with options for associate participation. Together, we share ideas, tackle common challenges, and promote excellence in probation.
